iCloud is stupid and way behind the curve

Pages, Keynote and Apple's other iCloud apps are terrible. The combination of Google Drive with Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc. is infinitely better, faster and for the most part free!
Box.net with Office apps is not perfect, but again, way, way better than the piece of shit Apple is pushing. Not just pushing though; forcing!
Apple requires iOS 8 and / or Yosemite on a Mac to utilize their junk. So, not only is it terrible but you want me to upgrade to a shittier versions of your OS and iOS than I have now, all for the pleasure of being able to use the software I paid for, even through the web interface; Pages - I still can't believe I paid for it!
The promise was so much bigger than the eventuality that is a ridiculously slow and inefficient, poorly written app "suite". When attempting to use the Pages app on my iPad it often takes three minutes to get to a point when I can actually use the app and type something. Want to print a document quickly - look elsewhere. With any luck you had already exported it to a PDF or Word doc earlier.
And finally, I ask why a company, normally out in front or defining a target market first (in the now distant past), would choose to make an attempt at a competitive offering only to create something substandard. Why even release any of these cr-apple cr-apps?
It's a sad joke. Well, I am off to use my shiny new Android tablet.
